Here are some links for getting around in Paris. Getting to Paris from major airports is very convenient on public transport. We suggest, after a long journey, using a door-to-door van for convenient and efficient airport transport. Cab fare from airports is expensive. The Paris subway system, called the Metro, is very convenient and safe. Tour central Paris on a public bus or a sightseeing bus. You can tour the Seine river or even use the water bus transport (Batobus) to selected locations. Paris is a great city for walking. See the Activities section of this site for walking suggestions.
